Trust can develop if we get to know each other better...
These are the three values that define me:
1. Respect
Respect is the basis of all virtue, without it there can be no social life or morality, which is why I always pledge to respect you.
2. Empathy
Empathy is the most beautiful of virtues, because it enables us to feel what the other person is feeling, and thus to understand them better.
3. Serious
Seriousness and confidence go hand in hand. My background, my education, my skills and my personality give you a guarantee of genuine seriousness.
In the beginning
I was born in Bilthoven in the Netherlands. I have lived in France since 1981. So I have dual nationality and I'm trilingual: English, French and Netherlands.
From my earliest childhood to the present day, I've been lucky enough to grow up with parents who led me on the adventure of a lifetime.
They initiated ed me to and gave me an insight into the complexity, but also the richness, of the stories of the 8 billion human beings on our planet, all of whom are unique.
They initiated me not to pass judgement on the lives of others without knowing their story. To do this, I had to develop my open-mindedness even further in order to discover humanity and take into account all the aspects that concern them. My work in the healthcare field has enabled me to meet people of all races, cultures and backgrounds (an extraordinary experience, thanks to all my patients!).
They initiated me to always respect life in all its forms, to cooperate, to be benevolent, to help each other if need be and... to marvel at nature, which gives us life, beauty and harmony.
They initiated me to take my responsibility and to have the courage to always learn the lessons life brings us, to see the positive side and to discover how to find the resilience to move forward in my quest for meaning.
My profession
After 25 years working in the health sector, in services ranging from 0 to 105 years old, I've noticed that everyone is looking for meaning in their lives, whatever the circumstances and at whatever time. There are no exceptions, and even if we sometimes lose our way, we always keep looking. At the same time, over the years, I've taken courses in personal assistance to broaden my knowledge and share it with others. Isn't this Homer's Odyssey of Life? It was all this reflection that set me in motion to continue helping others through the association I created, "In Search of Meaning" through the Odyssey of Life.

How did the desire to help people realise the project that would give meaning to their lives emerge?
One day, in home care, a 90-year-old couple, with no children and no family, told me, following the physical decline of one of them, that they no longer had any social life because they could no longer leave their home to meet people.
The idea of creating my association came to me at that precise moment, because social life is an essential pillar of every human life.
Following this realisation, I asked them what would be the best solution for them. They told me that a retirement home was the only possible solution. But how do you go about visiting one when you can't drive, can't hear very well and the subject is a delicate one? So I offered to take them to see two retirement homes, as well as accompanying them during the visit, during which the manager explained how the home worked, the prices and the associated costs. I then took them back to their apartment and went over the two visits with them to make sure everything had been understood, as the choice was theirs to make. In this way, they were able to make an informed decision and, ultimately, give meaning to their lives.

My natural empathy and insatiable curiosity give me wings to offer you my skills and my seriousness. My openness and adaptability guarantee an optimum working alliance, and my common sense will do the rest.

Travelling is part of my adventure to get to know different cultures and learn their subtleties.
Life has given me four children of whom I'm very proud, because their different personalities make me discover the diversity of character and temperament in each of them with such joy.
